Bounteous Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy describes the different types of cookies and similar technologies that may be used on the website (the “Site”) and throughout the services (the “Services”) operated by or for Bounteous, Inc. and its affiliates (individually and collectively, “Bounteous,” the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) when you visit them. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Cookie Policy have the meanings set forth in our Privacy Notice (available at https://www.bounteous.com/legal/privacy-policy).
We may change this Cookie Policy at any time. It is our policy to post any changes we make to this Cookie Policy on this page. The date this Cookie Policy was last revised is identified at the top of this page. If you have further questions, please contact us using the contact information listed in our Privacy Notice.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer or device. Unless you have adjusted your browser settings to refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Services. Our use of information collected via cookies and similar technologies is governed by our Privacy Notice. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However, if you do not permit the use of cookies, certain parts of our Services may be unavailable or may not function properly.
A cookie may be either a “session” cookie or a “persistent” cookie. Session cookies exist only for so long as you are visiting the applicable website and are typically deleted when you exit or quit your browser. Persistent cookies exist for a set period of time — for example, six (6) months or one (1) year. Each time you visit a website that has implemented a persistent cookie, that cookie will remain active until its predetermined expiration date. You can also manually delete persistent cookies. You can find more information about cookies at http://www.allaboutcookies.org and http://youronlinechoices.eu.
Web beacons. Pages of our Site and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (such as recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity).
Third-party cookies. Some content or applications, including advertisements, provided via our Services are served by third parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, application providers, and social media sites. These third parties may use cookies (alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies) to collect information about you when you access our Services. The information they collect may be associated with information about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information independently to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising and other targeted content. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about advertising or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. For information on how you can consent to or withdraw your consent to receive targeted advertising from many providers, please see our Privacy Notice. At this time, we do not recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include “do not track” instructions.
You can learn more about your choices and how we use cookies by visiting our Privacy Notice.
Categories of Cookies and Similar Technologies We Use
Our Services use first-party cookies (set by Bounteous), third-party cookies (set by third parties), and other similar technologies. Below is a list of the different categories of cookies that we use on our Site, as of the effective date of this Cookie Policy. Depending on your geographic location as identified by your IP address, you may be prompted when visiting our Site to “accept” or “not accept” cookies supporting third-party advertisers and web analytics.
Strictly Necessary / Essential. Essential cookies and similar technologies enable you to navigate the Services and use their features — for example, by collecting information about your choices and preferences, allowing us to remember language and other local settings, and customizing our Services accordingly. Without these essential cookies, the Services may not perform smoothly, and we may not be able to provide the Site to you or provide you with certain services or features.
Social Media. Social media cookies and similar technologies collect information about your use of social media websites.
- We may participate in LinkedIn’s Audience program, which enables us to display personalized ads to persons on our email list when they visit LinkedIn. We provide personal information such as your email address and phone number to the social media provider to enable it to determine if you are a registered account holder. You may opt out of participation in this program by contacting us at bnt-privacy@bounteous.com. You may also opt out of receiving these ads from the social media network directly.
- For more information on the privacy practices of LinkedIn, please visit LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Analytics / Performance. Analytics and performance cookies collect information about your use of the Services and enable us to improve how they work and operate. Specifically, these cookies provide us with information regarding the most frequently visited pages on the Services, help us record and debug any issues you may have with the Services, show us how effective our advertising is, display targeted promotions or advertisements based on your use of the Services and your interests, and manage our use of advertising resources. These cookies allow us to see overall patterns of usage on the Site. We do not examine this information for individually identifying information, but we use it to understand the traffic on our Site and to generate audiences for remarketing.
Pixels and Similar Tags. We may also use a pixel tag, which is a small graphic file that allows us and third parties to monitor the use of the Site and provide us with information based on your interaction with the Site. These tags may collect the IP address from the device that loaded the page and the browser type. Pixel tags are also used by our third parties to collect information when you visit our Site, the links you follow, and other actions you take on our Site, and we may use this information in combination with cookies to display targeted advertisements. Other data technologies may be used that collect comparable information for security and fraud detection purposes.
Advertising. Advertising cookies and similar technologies are used to display targeted promotions or advertisements based on your use of the Site and your interests, and to manage our use of advertising resources. These cookies collect information about your activities on this and other sites to provide you with targeted advertising.
Your Choices
You can learn more about interest-based advertisements and your opt-out rights and options from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) at www.networkadvertising.org and from members of the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info. We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can also opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the NAI on its website.
You can find out more about how Google uses data when you visit our Site by visiting “How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps” (located at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/). You can opt out of having your activity on the Site made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) in your web browser. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript code (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visit activity. For more information on the privacy practices of Google, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms web page at http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.
Updating Your Cookie Preferences
Most browsers automatically accept cookies. Browsers generally also allow users to manage cookies in the browser’s settings. For example, a browser may allow you to reject cookies from certain websites, reject certain types of cookies regardless of website, reject or disable all cookies from all websites, and/or delete previously stored cookies. Some browsers also give you the option of being notified every time a cookie is sent. You can disable or limit cookies, but doing so may impact your use and enjoyment of the Services and other websites. For example, the Services may not be able to be personalized for you, may not capture or remember your preferences or other choices you have made on the Services, and may not recognize the device(s) you use to access the Services.
Changing your cookie preferences in one browser will not necessarily carry over to other browsers, so you may need to adjust your preferences each time you get a new device, install a new browser, upgrade an existing browser, or alter or delete a browser’s cookie file.
When you first visit our Site, you are given the option to choose which cookies are collected. You can change these settings at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer. Even if you opt out of non-essential cookies or personalized advertising, you may still see general, non-targeted advertisements throughout our Services or elsewhere about our Services.
