Choose The Right Training

Use our tools and suggestions to help you decide which courses to take!

Picking which courses to take can be difficult, especially when trying to balance prior knowledge with a limited budget. We’ve created a few resources below to help you decide the best courses to attend. Additionally, we have a few general recommendations on picking the right course:

Start With The Basics

We recommend that almost everyone starts with a 101 course, regardless of discipline or experience. Our courses build on each other, and often the beginner course is helpful to reinforce core concepts, clear up misunderstandings, and review best practices.

The best way to get a feel for our courses and what we cover in each course is to read the individual course pages.

The “Digital Analytics Beginner”

Maybe you’ve recently been hired or had Google Analytics added to your job title. Perhaps you’ve even used Google Analytics before, but just want to make sure you really get it. We recommend almost everyone starts with Google Analytics 101, where they learn basic definitions and how to use the interface. Google Analytics 201 digs deeper into strategy and how to answer questions with Google Analytics analysis. Optionally and where available, consider adding Google Data Studio 101 to learn how to more effectively communicate your data with visually appealing reports.

The “Administrator”

Are you in charge of “managing” Google Analytics for your organization? This can include everything from making sure your data is collecting properly, making sure the right people have access, and adding tracking to your website. For these advanced concepts, we recommend you take the Google Analytics 4 Properties workshop to learn about this version of GA. Google Analytics 301 will show you the administration side of things as well as Google Tag Manager workshops to learn how to implement tags with the best tools available. Technical skills not required, but certainly helpful. Optionally and where available, consider adding Google Optimize and learn how to create and run site experiments to improve your on-site experience.
