Digital River Integrates with Adobe Experience Manager to Power New Cloud Commerce Solution

In late June of 2017, Digital River, Inc., a leading global provider of Commerce-as-a-Service solutions, announced it is expanding its relationship with Adobe to offer a new, end-to-end cloud commerce solution. This pairing is designed to deliver personalized digital shopping experiences with an integrated commerce cloud with globalization capabilities.

Ideally suited for enterprise high-tech companies, the solution is based on an integration between Adobe Experience Manager (part of the Adobe Marketing Cloud) and Digital River’s commerce cloud.

Given the success of our AEM commerce integrations, we were again called upon to assist with the AEM/Digital River pairing. We are rapidly becoming the industry experts when it comes to commerce integrations with Adobe Experience Manager.

For the new Digital River platform, we created a packaged integration within the AEM E-commerce framework including:

  • Product Importing
  • Catalog Blueprint Importing
  • Catalog Roll-out
  • Full We.Retail Actions backed by Digital River
  • Product Pages
  • Add to Cart
  • Update Cart
  • View Similar Items
  • Test Checkout

And with our technical support, we’ve assisted Digital River in developing this integration further on their own.

AEM + Commerce – Reasons to consider

Clean separation of concerns

Using AEM with an external commerce system means that your marketing content (web, copy, DAM assets, etc) can be managed in a system perfectly suited for this task. And your commerce processes can of course then be managed solely by your commerce system. This clean separation means that your marketing and web team can use tools suited for them, while your commerce or business teams can focus on the backend side of commerce operations such as ERP or fulfillment integrations (etc), without having the mental overhead of dealing with customer-facing properties or having to learn systems they have no real purpose in learning.

Online consumers expect a consistent and dynamic shopping experience anywhere, anytime, on any device. The new cloud commerce solution from Digital River gives high-tech brands the ability to respond to this market demand.
