Lead DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of highly available, scalable DevOps solutions on AWS.


Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless code integration, testing, and deployment across environments.


Design and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS or self-managed) to support microservices and containerized applications.


Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.


Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues related to deployments, scalability, and system failures.


Collaborate with development, QA, and architecture teams to ensure DevOps best practices are adopted throughout SDLC.


Ensure compliance, security, and governance policies are enforced across cloud environments.


Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers and act as a technical escalation point.


Required Skills & Experience:

6+ years of experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering roles.


Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).


Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production.


Deep understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.


Advanced knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and Ansible for configuration management.


Experience with Docker, container lifecycle management, and orchestration tools.


Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, or similar.


Solid knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).


Familiarity with secure deployment practices, secrets management, and cloud security.
